Ontario Tests improves on regular studying by turning all material students could be tested on into a single practice exam. In the YCDSB system, teachers often expect students to know small, specific points. Since there are only so many concepts taught, our platform covers everything systematically recreating practice from actual school material.

Our system begins through students uploading test material to Ontario Tests. We begin by extracting text from the uploaded files using an OCR API. Once the text is extracted, our custom LLM—built with Pandas, NumPy, and Hugging Face Transformers—analyzes it; the model uses probability to determine the subject, difficulty level, and key concepts. The LLM makes new questions-generating all possible question variations that could be studied throughout the unit-using the data set stored. Last, the questions are pasted into a PDF file. Fun fact: our files are only 5KB each, and all Ontario Tests combined are under 3 megabytes
